Event Description:
The National Association of Letter Carriers host an annual Stamp Out Hunger campaign to collect food and funds for food banks across the nation. Help our food bank pick up and sort food items collected during the nation’s largest single-day food drive!
Volunteer tasks will include:
- Sorting through food donations returned to the post office
- Driving postal routes to pick up donations
- Ridding with drivers to run out and pick up donations
- Children are welcome to assist as runners with the supervision of parents/guardians at all times. We encourage families to serve together for these shifts.
Volunteer Requirements:
- Ages 16 and older (younger volunteers can serve as runners)
- Ability to lift over 30-pound boxes of food
- Able to follow all safety instructions
