Join our partner agency, Central Missouri Foster Care and Adoption Association, for their Next Steps Conference on May 11–12, a two-day event designed to support youth as they prepare for life beyond care.
This conference focuses on building confidence and independence through healthy habits, essential adult life skills, and connections to local resources—all in a supportive, engaging environment.
Day 1:
Youth will have access to the Mobile Trunk for a free shopping experience, along with a variety of resource vendors who specialize in supporting older youth and those who are aging out or have aged out of care.
Day 2:
The focus shifts to the future, with career and education vendors available to help youth explore opportunities, plan next steps, and build a path forward.
Who should attend:
This event is open to youth ages 17–26 who are currently in care or have exited care within the past 7 years.
Professionals may attend if they are transporting youth to and from the conference. Youth are also able to transport themselves if permitted.
Additional details:
Food and supplies will be provided, and attendees can enjoy door prize giveaways throughout the event. Hotel accommodations are not included but may be booked separately at the venue.
