EMERGENCY FOOD & SHELTER PROGRAM
Application for Funding
Mid-Missouri Jurisdiction
District 1 - Phase 41

SUBMISSION DEADLINE: April 30, 2024 by 4:30pm

Thank you for your interest in applying for the Emergency Food and Shelter Phase #41 Funds. This funding is made available through the Department of Homeland Security (DHS)/Federal Emergency Management Agency under the Emergency Food and Shelter National Board Program. District #1 includes the following counties: Callaway, Cole, Moniteau and Osage counties. All agencies applying for EFSP funds must provide their UEI number and FEIN in their applications. Approximate funding for each County are as follows:
•    Callaway: $12,719
•    Cole: $20,413
•    Moniteau: $3,073
•    Osage: $1,941

As per the EFSP guidelines funds can only be used for assisting individuals/families by providing one or more of the following services:
•    Food services, such as congregate meals or groceries;
•    Lodging in a mass shelter, or in a hotel/motel or other off-site shelter facility limited to 90-days assistance per individual or household;
•    Mass Shelter per diem is $12.50 per night rate and per meal allowance will be $3 per meal;
•    Three months’ rent or mortgage assistance to prevent eviction or foreclosure;
•    Utility assistance for three month of service for gas, electric and water service;

Note: The Local Board will be holding their meeting on Monday, May 13, 2024 at 1 pm to make the final decision on the allocation of funds for your county. All agencies that apply are encouraged to make a short presentation (under 10 minutes) to the board in regards to your funding request.
