COVID Assistance Helpline

COVID ASSISTANCE HELPINES, 2-1-1 MEET NEEDS OF COMMUNITY MEMBERS
Updated May 26, 2020

(Jefferson City, Missouri) Effective May 29 at 4:30 pm, the Cole County COVID Assistance Helpline will cease to be operational. The goal of the Helpline was to assist our Cole County neighbors with grocery/food pantry delivery, pharmaceutical delivery and other direct services during the COVID-19 pandemic with just one phone call. Thanks to the incredible commitment from many community partners, 100 community members were served through the helpline that became operational on April 15, 2020.

Since the stay-at-home order was lifted in Cole County, the number of calls has substantially decreased. Therefore, effective Friday, May 29 at 4:30pm the Helpline will cease to be operational. A voice message will be posted to direct callers to 2-1-1 if they call the Helpline after May 29. The voice message will remain active through June 30, 2020.

United Way of Central Missouri is grateful for the incredible partnership with the City of Jefferson and Cole County, as well as all of the agencies and faith-based organizations that stepped forward to provide direct services during these challenging times.

2-1-1, or 1-800-427-4626, continues to be a vital resource for community members to obtain information about services available in the community. While the Cole County COVID Asistance Helpline has ceased in operation, other county Helplines continue to remain operational.
