UNITED WAY OF CENTRAL MISSOURI AND BARTLETT & WEST ESTABLISH CENTRAL MISSOURI MEDICAL PERSONNEL RELIEF FUND

(Jefferson City, MO, May 28, 2020) Inspired by the Central Missouri Food Service Industry Relief Fund established by Fechtel Beverage & Sales and the United Way of Central Missouri due to the COVID pandemic, the Central Missouri Medical Personnel Relief Fund has been established through funding from Bartlett & West to provide critical financial aid to healthcare workers who have experienced a financial hardship or crisis as a result of the COVID-19 outbreak.  United Way of Central Missouri has established and agreed to be the fiscal agent for this fund which will provide emergency aid for rent, mortgage, utilities or auto payments to individuals in the healthcare field employed by one of the following medical institutions located within the United Way of Central Missouri service area: Capital Region Medical Center, Jefferson City Medical Group and SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital. All other applications will be reviewed on a case by case basis.

“United Way of Central Missouri has a long-standing history of accountability and transparency, as well as an incredible network of partners and expertise on community issues. Therefore, we trust United Way to be the fiscal agent and operate this fund to help Bartlett & West realize our goal in supporting our community,” said Bob Gilbert, Chief Operations Officer of Bartlett & West.

United Way of Central Missouri President/CPO Ann Bax said, “United Way is proud to partner with Bartlett & West, a wonderful community supporter, to establish this critical fund for medical personnel who are working tirelessly to protect our community members. Thank you Bartlett & West for making this fund possible, and our thanks to other businesses and individuals for considering adding their financial support to provide even more assistance to our friends in the medical field who have been so heavily impacted by the COVID pandemic.”
