Board of Directors
26 member board meets monthly.
Campaign Leadership Team
Volunteers assist with the annual Community Campaign with kickoff in July and community campaign in September-October.
Days of Caring
Area businesses provide volunteers to assist member agencies in community service projects to kick-off the annual Community Campaign.
Supports and promotes early childhood programs and initiatives in the Central Missouri area. Identify gaps in services/needs in early childhood in our community.
Fund Allocation Panel Member
Volunteers review the member agencies’ funding requests for the upcoming year. Meet in March/April, usually weekly for a concentrated time of 4 weeks.
Volunteers elects all Board of Directors and Governing Body members and votes upon any changes proposed to the bylaws. Meets once a year at the Annual Meeting.
Special Events/Marketing Committee
Volunteers plan the annual community campaign kick-off in August and Victory celebration in November. Helps develop and implement an annual marketing plan.
Strategic Funding Committee
Volunteers review finance committee recommendations, grant criteria, agency classifications, community needs assessment, grant applications and new agency applications. Meet in February/March.
United Way at Work
Local businesses meet monthly to work on quarterly projects to benefit the 24 member agencies.
Volunteers represent one of the three focus areas, education, financial stability, or health. Vision Councils meet 2-3 times a year and review unmet needs & opportunities and develop action plans to meet those needs.
