Advocate

Anyone can champion the cause. Whether you're speaking out to improve education, income, and health, reaching out to members of Congress, or wearing the LIVE UNITED shirt to show your support, you can help inspire hope and create opportunities for a better tomorrow.

So go ahead and advocate in a LIVE UNITED world. Do it in public. Be visible. Be loud.

Here are some ways you can become an advocate for United Way:

  1. Tell your friends about your involvement with United Way and what we do.
  2. Wear the shirt. You'll be able to spark a conversation when you wear the LIVE UNITED shirt.
  3. Become a Loaned Executive for United Way. The Loaned Executive Program helps United Way keep fundraising expenses down and provides a great learning and growing opportunity for individuals ready to make a difference.  Loaned Executives are an extension of the United Way Staff.  LE’s come from local businesses and organizations which are willing to donate an employee to the United Way during the campaign.  LE’s are given accounts and are responsible for delivering materials to these companies for their campaigns and also for following up with them when their campaign is complete.  Contact Ann Bax for more information.
  4. Become a Fund Allocation Panel Member.  As a Fund Distribution Panel Member you will review agency applications, listen to their presentation and help make decisions about how the money raised will be distributed.Contact Ann Bax for more information.
